What is microblading?
Microblading places hair stokes using a manual tool. The tool has a blade consisting of tiny needles. This is then dipped in pigment. Thin slices, like paper cuts are then placed into the skin giving the effect of tiny hair stokes. This does not go as deep in to the skin as cosmetic tattooing. Pigment is placed in to the basal layer of the epidermis. It is still permanent but will fade quicker than cosmetic tattooing. Maintenance is essential to keep the brows looking their best. Microblading is best for clients that are wanting something that is very natural. Suitable for clients with little of no hair or clients just wanting to build their existing brow to give fullness, balance, symmetry and a more defined shape.
Does microblading hurt?
We all have different tolerance to pain. Some experience mild discomfort. I will make you feel comfortable throughout the procedure.
How long do the results last?
Although the pigments are permanent they do fade. How much they fade is different for everyone. Lifestyle, skin type and medication all play a part in this. Brow maintenance/colour boost is essential to maintain your shape and to keep your colour fresh.
How do you choose a colour and shape?
We choose the shape and colour together. Personal preference, skin, hair and eye colour are all taken in to consideration before selecting the perfect Colour for you. We will take time to discuss the shape that you desire. A large part of the appointment is spent measuring and drawing on the brows with pencil to ensure symmetry and balance. We will not proceed until you are completely happy with both the shape and colour choice.
